Our Editing Process, Step by Step

1. File submission. After your recording session, you share the raw files with us via Google Drive, WeTransfer, or any other link-based transfer. We confirm receipt and log your episode details.
2. Brief and reference. For new clients, we ask for a brief: your show format, any intro/outro assets, caption preferences, and platform destinations. For returning clients, we already have this on file.
3. Assembly edit. We sync all audio and video tracks, lay down the structure, and make the first round of cuts.
4. Audio post-production. Noise reduction, EQ, compression, de-essing, and level matching are applied across all speakers.
5. Visual polish. Color correction, lower thirds (if needed), and any motion graphics or on-screen text are added.
6. Captions. We generate and manually review all captions for accuracy before burning them in or exporting them as a separate file.

What file formats should I send you? We accept all major video and audio formats: MP4, MOV, MXF, WAV, MP3, and others. If you record directly at Fox Talkx Studio, we handle the file transfer internally. If you record elsewhere, just share a download link and we will take it from there.

How long does editing take? Standard turnaround is 48 to 72 hours for episodes up to 60 minutes. Longer episodes or episodes with complex graphics may take an additional day. If you have a hard publish deadline, let us know in advance and we will prioritise accordingly.

Can you match a specific editing style or reference? Yes. Share a reference episode from a podcast whose editing style you like and we will match the pacing, caption style, and overall aesthetic as closely as possible.
